Hours of work: Mondays - Fridays, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 Hours/Week - Full-time position with hours generally Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and extended work hours may be required occasionally as job duties demand. Extended travel hours may also be necessaryUnder the supervision of a more senior staff member, the R&D Chemist I is responsible for the timely completion of assignments as part of a more complex research project. Good lab practice, safety practice, and note taking are expected Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to) Must be up to date on all required safety training and adhere to safety policy during the course of work Accurately documents work and findings in lab notebooks and in written reports. Scientific oral presentations may also be required occasionally New product development and testing Plans, conducts, and executes laboratory- and full-scale development activities. Conducts field work for manufacturing and customer support on an as needed basis Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from four-year college or university is required (Degree in Business, Environmental, Chemical, or equivalent is preferred) 0-2 years Industrial or academic R&D experience is required Demonstrated creative and technical skills (patents, ideas, publications) is preferred More about Calgon Carbon, A Kuraray Company We are a company of scientific innovators with over 205 patents.
